About Mosier Real Estate

Mosier

Welcome to the City of Mosier. Our friendly town is located between Hood River and The Dalles in Oregon’s stunning Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Just an hour from Portland International Airport, Mosier was settled in 1854 as a farming community and still serves the Mosier Valley, where pear and cherry orchards flourish. The City was incorporated in 1914 and has 430 residents with 1200 in the surrounding valleys supporting the community. Many historic buildings are still intact and house various businesses, including the post office, the charming one-room library, the Mosier Valley Grange, the Good River Restaurant (formerly the Wild Ginger), Route30 antique car dealership and ice cream shop, the Victorian era Mosier House Bed and Breakfast Inn, and Fairydell craft shop and artist studios.
From town, the Historic Columbia River Highway winds along the Columbia basalt cliffs to outstanding gorge views and, in spring, acres of breathtaking wildflowers. Hiking, biking, and bird watching are favorite recreational activities with our own beautiful Mosier Falls in Pocket Park, just a short walk from the City Center. Twin Tunnels Trail connects Hood River with Mosier via a closed portion of the Historic Columbia River Highway for hiking and biking. We’re also near the Windsurfing Capital of the World and the historic Oregon Trail, where visitors can indulge in extreme sports or history.
Recent additions include the Mosier Totem Pole celebrating our past, the Oregon Cascades Birding Trail, and developing Waterfront Park.
Come visit Mosier, where you’re sure to find friendly folk, good food, splendid scenery, and many recreational opportunities. Bring your bikes, binoculars, and hiking boots and enjoy our wonderful town. And don’t forget your camera!
